Harbour Island Bahamas is one of the 700 islands and 2,400 cays that make up the Bahamas. This archipelago of islands begins 100 miles off the east coast of Florida and extends 760 miles towards Haiti covering a total area of 5,358 square miles (13,878 km2). Only 30 of these islands are inhabited and many of them are underwater.

Beyond New Providence Island and Grand Bahama lie the ‘Out Islands’ a group of islands referred to by locals as the ‘Family Islands’. Harbour Island is one of the 13 inhabited islands that make up the Out Islands of The Bahamas.

Harbour Island is located just off the northern tip of Eleuthera and is only approximately 3.5 miles long and 1.5 miles wide. Only a narrow channel separates Harbour Island from Eleuthera.
