Boating Around
Harbour Island
Boating in the Bahamas is more than a pastime—it’s a way of life! When visiting by boat, follow maritime rules, as Harbour Island, Eleuthera, and Spanish Wells are official ports of entry. Customs officials will meet you at the dock to review paperwork, with only the captain allowed to leave. After clearing customs and paying the $150–$300 fee for permits, you’re free to sail for up to 90 days.
Harbour Island offers two marinas: Harbour Island Yacht Club and Valentines Marina, while Eleuthera and Spanish Wells feature several well-equipped docks like Cape Eleuthera Resort & Marina and Spanish Wells Yacht Haven. Amenities often include fuel, showers, dining, and shops.
Enjoy the stunning scenery of Harbour Island from your boat. High season brings extra traffic, so navigate cautiously and savor every moment on the water!
