With less than a Dozen hotels in Harbour Island getting the news of an acquisition and of a renovation are big news for Harbour Island. AJ Capital Partners purchased the Coral Sands Hotel in 2024, it is a substantial hospitality group that owns and operates several  trending hotels in the US. The company has heavily invested in the renovation of the Coral Sands to turn a new page for this top hotel in Harbour Island. The team redesigned and revitalized guest suites as well as all public spaces. The design team enhanced the typical bahamian character of the hotel by capitalizing on the pink color and typical bahamian themes, shells, corals and more..

The hotel has reopened in early december 2024 and the clients of the hotel apparently love the makeover.
