Harbour Island Hotel rooms with ocean views 

Pink Sand beaches is the main attraction for visitors in Harbour Island.  Ocean view rooms are very much in demand in Harbour Island.  There are a handful of oceanfront Harbour Island  hotels namely: the Pink Sands, the Coral Sands, the Dunmore, The Ocean View hotel and Runway Hill.  Most of the  hotels in Harbour Island have been in business for a long time, the Coral Sands has been in business for the past 60 years.  Of course hotels have been upgraded and updated throughout the years.

Ocean front hotels do not mean that all rooms have ocean views, far from it.  Most lodging units in Harbour Island hotels are mainly one level, mostly cottages. Hotels are built on a 30 feet high dune that runs from North to South along the beach side. On top of the dune the topography for hotel lands is rather flat which means that most of the views are being offered on the first line of cottages or houses.  The majority of hotel amenities, such as restaurants, pools, receptions  are positioned facing the beach which reduces water frontage from the rooms.

Ocean view rooms are expensive because they are scarce, they can cost up to twice the price of a garden view room.
